I need to reformat this drive so it can be used with my MBP, OSX
10.4.11. The box says it is as easy as running disk utility. But I don't
see anything about formatting the drive, just erasing, First Aid,
restore, RAID, partition. So.. how do I go about reformatting. I looked
up stuff of on knowledge bases for both Apple and Seagate but did not
find what I need. Any help???

So after I erase or partition, I can just fire up SuperDuper and
bootable clone my current HD?

120 GB. Don't know about the partition. It is mainly to be used as the
main back-up for my computer. Can I repartition later on if I need to or
should I just put in an extra partition or two in case I need them later
on. Thinking about maybe a Sandbox set-up later on.

After I get it formatted, I plan to use this as my back-up. I have
SuperDuper all set and ready to go.

Cool. Thanks. I have only been with Macs for about 18 months and I
guess I am still not quite ready to believe it could be that simple (g).

Yeah I am not thinking about changing. Not really anything there
that I need or want enough to mess with it at this point anyway.

I'm not a power user. Most of my stuff is 2-3K word Word files. I doubt
I would notice the speed difference (g).
Thanks again for the assist.
