Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>misc (more info?)

I have used an older SanDisk card in my camera, and happily read it with a
Lexar card holder - just plugged it into a usb port and bingo! The card
showed up as a drive. Simple!

I try to read this card, and the computer does not even know that a card has
been hooked up to the usb port. Obviously something is different with this
card. It is a 4 gig SDHC card, and there is also a 2-in-a-circle emblem to
the right of the sdhc logo.

The card works perfectly in the camera, and I can connect the camera via usb
cable to the computer, to do what needs to be done. I am just a bit flummoxed
about not being able to read the card directly.

Again, I need a clue.

Season's Greetings, to one and all.

It is not the card but the reader. Probably won't read the hi capacity
card. My reader won't either since it was made before high capacity
cards but the camera will so I just connect the camera

Thanks for your reply, Paul. I guess that is the logical explanation, just
not the one I was hoping for. Thank you, and best wishes of the season, to
you.
