Can anyone please help me? I have a new MacBook Pro
CPU speed 2.16 GHz
CPU Intel Core Duo
Memory 2 GB
OS 10.4.07

Printer HP Office jet 6310 all in one (Direct connect using USB cable)

I am using Parallels Desktop for Mac (NOVA Development Corp) to access
Windows XP.
Everything seems to be working fine on the Mac side, even printing.

My problem is I am unable to print in Windows. Using the same printer
which works fine
In OS 10.4.7. When installing the HP windows version 6.0.0a in Windows
XP everything
goes fine until I get to the part about the USB cable. I am asked to
plug in the cable which I do.
next on the screen it says device found or device detected. Then you are
asked to wait for the
process to complete after a long time I get an error message saying the
process failed.
At this point you can finish downloading and hook up the USB later. The
process finishes
the printer icon shows up and everything seems to be fine. Just will not
print, when I have even tried printing a test page, nothing. The
printer stays the same ie: date and time. I should say I am using
a long USB Cable 10 feet or so.
