Hi,

I just pulled out the HD from an iBook G4 that is DOA. The owner wants

me to copy the data off to CD. My plan was to pull the drive, put in a

21/2 USB drive enclosure and plug it in my Mini. Well, I got the drive

out and noticed that are 2 extra rows of pins at the far edge of the
drive. My std USB enclosure cannot accomodate the extra pins. I tired

plugging the drive into the enclosure and powering it up via my USB
hub, but it spun up for a sec then powered itself off. I added the
power connection to the enclosure and the drive says up, but clunks
like a drive with serious problems.

Does anyone know if this drive should work in a USB enclosure?

Thanks,

Tom
