Just the fact that you're using Access indicates that you're on a Windows
box & this group is for Mac Excel. You'll get a more detailed explanation &
perhaps some options if you post to a PC Excel or Access group: Start
looking here:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/FlyoutOverview.mspx

And use the Message area (big whit box) to describe your situation in
detail - including software versions. Just jamming something into the
Subject field doesn't help anyone help you:-)

In a nutshell, Excel worksheets (2003 & prior) have only 64,556 rows so you
can't paste more records than that in one fell swoop. Depending on what
you're trying to accomplish, however, there may be suggestions for
alternatives to copy/paste - and far better ones at that.

Hi Jen,

If you are using any version of Excel that's older than Excel 2007 the
maximum number of rows on each worksheet is limited to 65,536.

You would have to bring the data into Excel in batches until you got it all
into Excel.

Excel 2007 (Windows) can handle about a million rows. You can import using
Microsoft Query (Get External Data).

If you attempt to open a 2007 workbook that has more than 65,536 rows on a
worksheet, the rows past 65,536 will be lost, however.

There's no word yet on whether or not Excel 2008 will support more than
65,536 rows.

-Jim

Does the 2008 Excel for Mac have this 65,536 row limitation?

Hi,

Excel 2008 has more than 1 million rows.

Here's a way to bring those access rows into Excel:
