I have always used Stuffit but it is too expensive for such an
unreliable commercial program. I want to be able to compress and
archive large files. Some larger than 4.3 gig so to burn them to DVD i
need to segment them. Some of the files are .dv video files.
I would presume that .rar or .gzip are the most common and will be
accomodating software several years from now. I know i might do these
in Terminal mode but i aint a Terminal guy, and am looking for a GUI.
What software would you recommend to create and segment compressed
archives?
