Hi,<br>
<br>
I had one very, very simple macro that I created in Word 2004, which I use a LOT, so I would like it back. However, I can't use Apple Script at all and I am hoping some kind soul here could tell me how to do this for Word 2008, because learning how to use Apple Script just for this feels pretty hopeless.<br>
<br>
The macro was that I used Apple-Key + E to insert a footnote into a document at size 10 font. That's it. Very basic - but I don't know how to create it again, and it is already much needed.

Try using the AutoText entry feature. Directions can be found by typing AutoText entry into the help search area. It is not quite a macro, but really close. Hope this helps.

AutoText might help replace certain macros, but it is not relevant to
the original question here at all.

Well, let's be a bit inventive then...

If you set the format of the Footnote Text style in your document to be 10
pts, then every footnote you insert will be 10 pts.

I am not quite sure if it was the footnote text or the footnote reference
you meant? If it is the reference, same thing, but set the Footnote
Reference style.

Now, you can assign Command + E to "InsertFootnote" and you will get what
you want Smile Or, if you like, use Command + Option + F. That is already
assigned.

Hope this helps
