OK, done that. It now shows "installed".

Despite having installed Script Menu, I don't have a Scripts icon at this
point. Have tried quitting VPC and starting it again, but all I have on the
Menu Bar is VPC - File - Edit - PC - Drives - Window - Help (as before). I
have looked into all the items and the Help files, but cannot find "Virtual
PC Scripts" - the only item showing up is Apple Scripts. I am running VPC
Version 7.0.3. Am I missing the obvious somewhere?

Harry, that _was_ helpful, in that I didn't know about (or had forgotten) the
Compatibility tab, and I was in high hopes that this would work. It does now
install pretty well but hangs when I try to run it, saying "searching for
Rosetta Stone media".

I have now tracked down the original creators of the software (which have
gone out of business) and also the people that bought the rights, and have
emailed them both asking if it is possible to run this. Otherwise I will
have to put Windows 98 on my VPC and try again.

You can install Win98 in VPC7. All you need is the CD and license.
You can get the rest of the stuff you need, including directions from
my website.
