Post subject: VPC 7 on Tiger 10.4.11, Log in as Administrator
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>virtualpc (more info?)

I had VPC 7 installed when I was running Panther, then I upgraded to Tiger. I updated VPC to 7.0.3 and I had no problems.
I decided to uninstall the program for whatever reason, I used the uninstall tool on the CD. Later I decided to re-install it. Now after it reboots after install I get the message "You must log in as administrator to run". But I am the administrator. I even tried updating to VPC 7.0.3, no luck. I even changed the Permissions Owenership to the app to my account rather than system, no luck.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

VPC5 on Tiger - On my 2 G4s (an iMac and eMac) I had given up with VPC 5.04. It had worked under 10.2 Jaguar but under 10.3 Panther it was clearly broken beyond redemption: ultra-slow with frequent crashes. However once I had installed 10.4 Tiger on a whim I decided to...

Exactly what breaks in VPC with Tiger? - Hi all: I've been reading the newsgroup for a while, and holding off on migrating to Tiger because of my need for using VPC for some minor application uses. I have a question: Exactly what, functionally, breaks with Tiger? What will I no longer be abl...
