Post subject: Unreadable messages in OE6 Inbox
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>internet>outlookexpress>mac (more info?)

My problem is similar to some others recently, but different. I'm using OE6
under Windows XP SP2. Recently, I started not to be able to read emails only
in my Inbox. I can still send and receive mail. After a day or so in the
Inbox, the message is gone. In it's place I get an Info symbol with the
message

Message has not been downloaded
Outlook Express has not yet downloaded this message.

To download the message:
Click here.
Press Space.

Clicking and Pressing does nothing. An empty window pops up. This started
first with a few messages, and I could correct by restarting OE6. That no
longer works, and most of my Inbox is now unreadable. Only readable messages
are the most recent ones and a few interspersed among the older ones.

Can anyone suggest a way out? I have backup folders that are good from
several days ago. Should I switch to Office Outlook? Can I import all my OE
folders backup folders into Office?

You might try asking the question on a non-Mac group...
(Maybe the last part of the name of this group was obscured?)
<microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac>

Perhaps an OE6 newsgroup, rather than a Mac one?
Such as;
<microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress>
