As Taz said, it looks like your menus are fubared and need resetting, since
these commands have *not* been removed in Word 2008.
As for your second problem, this is a known issue and it appears to be DW's
fault. It is the responsibility of the app doing the pasting to determine
which clipboard format to use. DW rejects the HTML that Word 2008 generates
and then refuses to convert it to another format (which it *should* do). At
least, that's my understanding of the situation.
I have no idea where this bug stands at Adobe but I suggest you go rattle
their cages
