Post subject: Sharp LC26DA5U 26" AQUOS LCD TV?
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>hardware>video (more info?)

i have a powerbook g4 with a 15" apple monitor and wireless mouse and
keyboard, a very nice setup.

now that I have started looking at tv shows, "trailer park boys," etc.
on my computer, it seems like it would be nice to have a bigger nicer
screen as the external monitor for my laptop.

the Sharp LC26DA5U 26" AQUOS LCD TV for about $1000 seems like a winner,
except that i have no idea what is involved in hooking it up to the
laptop. in other words, if it or some other similar monitor is
seamlessly trouble free, then i want it. otherwise my apple 15" monitor
gives a beautiful picture.

grateful for anyone's experience and advice with this issue.

oh yes, the new device should have hdtv tuner included or easily added.
or do one thing at a time and do it well? forget about hdtv tuner? Naw.
then i will have no new technology for all that expense.

many thanks, John

ps. apologize for cross posting, it took me a while to find the right
group. for some reason, since apple in its wisdom erased my hard drive
while replacing the motherboard for the second time, MT_Newswatcher has
not worked for months!
