I am trying to run the security component upgrade off of Microsoft's website
at http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1.
When I click the update button, it waits a while, then comes up with the
error, "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to
play, burn or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a
file that has been moved, renamed or deleted." Any help on fixing this would
be appreciated. I have already uninstalled WMP in safe mode, and then
reinstalled. Didn't do a thing. Also renamed DRM folder to try to reset it,
but nothing. Thanks.

I'm not sure that applies to Mac users at all...

I am trying to run the security component upgrade but the link button is
dead. It is not a hot link. Fix it.

Who are you asking to fix this?? Microsoft?? This is a peer-supported
newsgroup. All you'll find here are other users like yourself.

In addition, are you even using a Mac? This is the group for the Mac
version of WMP and I very much doubt that this update applies to us.

PS: try again in IE for Windows. I suspect that the page needs ActiveX.
