Is it possible to modify the default Safari search engine from google.com to
google.co.uk?

Cheers
Eric

Yes, download AcidSearch. It can add a load of extra search engines,
including Uk ones.

Try <a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://www.macupdate.com" target="_blank">www.macupdate.com</a> for a start.

Unless he's running Tiger, as there isn't a compatible version yet. The
latest, 0.41, is compatible through OS X 10.3.9 but crashes Safari on
launch in Tiger.

Actually, I think you'll find it works OK in Tiger - reviewers at
<a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://www.macupdate.com," target="_blank">www.macupdate.com,</a> and the fact that I'm running it here would suggest
this is so.

Hmmm, that's VERY odd, since I encountered the problem with Acid Search
myself, then read it was a known issue, but clearly it doesn't affect
everyone since your Mac is okay.

Yup, works perfectly. Of course others things are broken - Content
Barrier causes kernel panics here (on two machines).

I'm really glad we had this discussion, because I just downloaded and
reinstalled Acid Search and now Safari is working fine with it. Thanks,
Andy!

Hi,

I'm sure that on my machine in my office (PC) I have already replied to
Andy's excellent suggestion of using AcidSearch.

However here on my machine at home ( G4 Mac ) no post is showing in the
newsgroup.

So, just in case the original for some reason did not appear, thanks once
again to Andy. AcidSearch was perfect for what I was after and yes I am
indeed running Tiger 10.4.1

Cheers
Eric.
