Hi all,

I'm running Doom II on my 1.25Ghz G4 with dual systems (OS 9.22 and OS X
3.Cool, everything runs the same as before, but I lost the bottom "status
menu" - for lack of a better term - that lets me know how much health I
have, what weapons, percentages, etc. Does anyone know how I get it back,
or for that matter how did it disappear in the first place.

Thaanks,
Que

You're better off going here:

<a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://legacy.newdoom.com/" target="_blank">http://legacy.newdoom.com/</a>

This is where you can download the opensource version of DOOM. It runs
natively on OS X.

fwiw, press the "-" key on the keyboard to shrink the screen. You could
try going to doom Legacy*, which runs doom, Doom 2, and a bunch more
doom-engine related stuff. Looks spiffy and it's free. DoomsDay engine
is nice, too, but I can't quite get it to run other doom wads.
With doom Legacy, you can choose the video quality, and size

One word of warning-after you play it, you might not want to go back to
classic doom 2 ever again

JB

* found at legacy.newdoom.com

they also have wads made specifically for doom Legacy
