Post subject: No Internet connectivity using Virtual PC 2004 loaded with XP Pro
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>virtualpc (more info?)

Shared Networking (NAT) is enabled in the settings for the virtual machine.
In the past, I have been able to connect to the Internet in this virtual
machine, but suddenly I am no longer able to do so. I really have no idea
what the problem is.

Host machine is running Win XP Pro and virtual machine is also running Win
XP Pro. The virtual machine OS doesn't have all of the latest Microsoft
updates because I'm using it to test web pages in Internet Explorer 6. And
even if I wanted to update the virtual OS, I have no internet connection (in
the virtual machine).

The host machine has a reliable internet connection. I'm connecting to the
Internet via a DSL modem and a router (router has a firewall enabled).

Does anybody know what the problem is here? Thanks.

This is the VPC for Mac newsgroup (VPC6/7). Please post to
microsoft.public.virtualpc for the VPC for Windows ng (VPC 2004/2007).
Thanks.
