I have a full licence for Office 2004 and have purchased the student & teacher edition of Office 2008. I'm obviously entitled to have them both on the same Mac ...... is this possible & if so how? reluctant to start an installation until I know how best to proceed.

TIA

you can keep both, though I woudl not use both Entourage 2004 and 2008,
and there is a risk that preferences will not behave well since some of
them might be shared between the two versions.

I kept Word and Excel 2004 on my Mac.

Thanks! Presumably it's obvious what I need to do during the installation of 2008? Any potential gotchas?
Just choose not to delete Office 2004 when given the option.

If you ever have to re-install after a drive crash, be sure to install 2004
BEFORE 2008. The 2008 installer moves old Office fonts and replaces them
with new and improved fonts for 2008.
