Post subject: Fixing graphics card iMac g4
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>hardware>video (more info?)

Since I regularly get a "Uni North Hangup" kernel panic pointing back to
GeForce, I'm beginning to think I have a graphics card problem.

iMac G4 700 MHz OS 10.3.8

I understand the graphics card is actually a chip (or chipset?) mounted
on the motherboard.

Would it be an option to scavenge the chip or chipset off a donor
machine? I can't locate info/photos as to the pin count.

Thanks for any info,
Steve
