I can not get FF 1.0.6 to play the WMP videos on CNN.com. I seem to
have all the necessary plugins installed (looking thru about:plugins).
I find Mozilla's support board less than useful so before I spend a
whole lot of time troubleshooting this, can anyone else access CNN's
videos with FF and tell me it is al least possible? If so, what is the
key trick or plugin patch or config setting, etc necessary to make it
all work. Hardware here is a Mac PB15" runnng OS X 10.3.7.

Works fine here, listening to the Bush returns as I type (video playing
in background).
Is WMP listed in your plug ins? Is it listed as enabled for all types?

When you say it doesnt work, exactly what DOES happen?

All the required plugins were installed and up to date. The symptom was
that the player "window" would be displayed but the video region of the
player window would simply remain black. No messages, no dialog boxes,
nothing. Since originally being posted, a fix was found. Apparantly
WMP and RealPlayer both consider the video content to be a pop-up
window. Setting FF's preferences to "Allow Pop-up WIndows" allows both
WMP and RP to work fine.
