This happening to me in Windos Media Player hope to get some suggestions

An Error Ocurred: on WMP9.0 - When people send me an email with a WMP file attached to it, often times I get the error listed above. There are times when the file opens without problem. But often the result is this error without a number or anything else other than what's listed..
ERROR - I 'm trying to figure out why a link isnt working, I get the message please identify path or filename is correct, how do I solve this and what does it mean, the link is correct because others are using it with no problem. Claudia
error 1000 - why am i getting this? i have os x v10.2.8
error 80040154 - Whenever I try to open up an attachment from someone and it is on windows media I cannot do this as it comes up as this error or something eles and I am not real computer literate... help???
