I know you can do a motion path in Office2007, and when you open that in
MacOffice2008, you can view it. But is there a way to create a motion path
animation in MacOffice2008?

Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Sorry. No. That feature has not found its way to Mac PowerPoint.

Hi tenay -

Unfortunately that would fall into the category of being an added feature,
and updates to current versions typically don't include additional features
- they're issued to improve/correct the existing feature set. Although it
could conceivably be included in a "major" update [such as 12.5] I wouldn't
look for it until the next version of Office:Mac is released.

In the meanwhile, use Help> Send Feedback to make sure MS is aware of the
demand. No guarantees, but they do heed the input you provide.

I was looking to create motion paths in my ppt presentation and discovered that I am unable to do this. Does this mean that I have to go back to a PC to create the ppt and then send it to my mac. Sort of defeats the purpose.<br>

I have always been a PC person...
I finally decided to go MAC -- sick of spyware/virus' and constant problems.
I have spent a fortune on an IMAC and MacBook. I bought them in AUgust, along with Office 2004.
Now I have 2008 and can't believe that I have to REQUEST to get a feature BACK for upgrading....
This is more than wrong... Why take away features???
I refuse to use my old PC and then hope that my saved ppt will run properly on my Mac's. Someone tell me this is not the norm...

I understand what you're feeling, but just to clarify ...

The issue of Motion Paths isn't a matter of having " to REQUEST to get a
feature BACK" or anything being 'taken away'. Motion Paths were never
included in *any* version of Mac PPt. It's a common assumption that the
Office apps for PC & Mac are identical, but they aren't. Each has features
the other doesn't and even some features that are the "same" work a bit
differently in the one version than they do in the other.

What's being suggested that users request is to have the feature *added* at
some time in the future - if nobody requests it there is little likelihood
of it ever making it to the Mac version.
