When zooming in on sheets with cells in accounting format, numbers will appear as ###### ################### regardless of column width. Values appear correctly in the formula bar, but not on the sheet. This occurs at zoom settings of 121 - 125%. Other zoom settings display values correctly. Very odd . . .
Can't find this issue on any of the blogs thus far.

I can't reproduce this - does it happen with all sheets?

Does changing the font affect the problem?

Does anything change if you change formats and reapply Accounting?

Played around a bit and think I figured out the bug. Has to do with opening a sheet originally produced in a MS Excel for Windows. For some reason, the font and/or font size is not coming across. By going into cell formatting I was able to simply specify a font and font size, which eliminated the issue.
This should probably be reported to MS for a fix, since it's going to be a pain to concern oneself with ongoing compatibility. In the biz world, most sheets will be produced from a PC and not a MAC.
Any idea where to report this issue so they can work and a patch?

I am experiencing the same problem when using the font Helvetica Condensed with the accounting format. My spreadsheet was created with the Mac version of Microsoft Excel 2004.

Zoom on opening, vanishing dock icons - Upgraded to Office 2004 recently. Two problems. 1) The dock icons vanish when I leave and then return to Excel. If the mouse pointer slides over them they are redrawn, but this is a little, well, silly! 2) Also, now, whenever an Excel doc is first....
